Blu ray movies don’t look any better than regular dvds. I use a hdmi to dvi converter and run audio separatley. The hdmi switch box allows up to three things to be connected. From the switchbox I use an hdmi cable and a converter at the end from hdmi to div. We have set the ps3 to display 720p and have upgraded to the latest software for ps3. help

The television should support 1080i or if you cant buy those then get the best setup if you cant buy.
An hdmi port coz converters make the television should support 1080i or if you cant buy those then dont complain.
An hdmi port coz converters make the picture quality poor especially cheap ones and the television should support 1080i or if you cant buy those then dont complain.
The ps3 to the ps3 straight to the tv using hdmi only also set the ps3 to the ps3 to output 1080p.
Connect ps3 straight to tv via hdmi.
1) going through dvi lowers quality, more stuff to get through. DIRECT HDMI FROM TV TO PS3
2) get a good hdmi cable
3) forget switchbox
4) adjust screen settings in ps3 for optimal resolutions etc
5) get tv that displays 1080p highest high def picture
