Blu ray movies don’t look any better than regular dvds. I use a hdmi to dvi converter and run audio separatley. The hdmi switch box allows up to three things to be connected. From the switchbox I use an hdmi cable and a converter at the end from hdmi to div. We have set the ps3 to display 720p and have upgraded to the latest software for ps3. help

I’m no dummy… I know people cut, lie cheat, steal their way in line. I was there for the PS2 drop. Where’s the most civil location I can safely wait overnight?
I’m actually in Palo Alto, so San Jo would be a nice alternative. People have told me Metreon, but somewhere more low-key would be preferable, since I can already picture the lines starting sunday.

Have you ever wondered if there was more to your game than met the eye? Perhaps you long to beat the game in record time, have unlimited lives, unlock secret characters without having to make your way through the entire game to do so? Or maybe you just want a little help to get you through that new 120 hour RPG? PSP cheats and walkthroughs can help give you the gaming experience that you want, with ease.
Cheats – PSP cheats come in a variety of different flavors. For instance, you can find cheats to fighting games that give you unlimited ammunition, that give you unlimited lives, make you invulnerable or even let you play as a different character altogether. Usually, these types of PSP cheats are codes that you enter at a specific screen in the game, or a specific point before the game loads completely.
Walkthroughs – More helpful than PSP cheats, walkthroughs tell you what you need to do, how to do it and how to get there. These can be as comprehensive or as minimal as you wish. For instance, if you’re having problems beating that first boss, a walkthrough will tell you exactly what weapons or techniques you’ll need to get past him or her. If you choose to make your way through the rest of the game on your own, so much the better. However, a good walkthrough can help you make short work out of some of the confusing games currently on the market.
One of the best examples is that of the RPG. Traditionally, these are story-based games that require a large amount of leveling, beating specific bosses to advance to the next part of the story or to gain specific items and more. Walkthroughs have become almost ubiquitous with RPGs, as well as many other types of PSP games.
Helpful Tips – These fall more under the “Walkthrough” category than they do under PSP cheats, but tips can make the difference between enjoying the game and being frustrated. For instance, to unlock bonus cars in Need for Speed Undercover, you must complete certain tracks under a specific mode (Career mode, for instance). Tips will help you make the most of your gaming experience, without giving away the entire game, the way a walkthrough does.
Combined, PSP cheats, walkthroughs and tips constitute an enormous body of knowledge. You’ll find that being able to access these tools when needed is incredibly beneficial. Whether you’re slicing your way through Prince of Persia, battling in God of War or setting the streets ablaze in Midnight Club: LA Remix, you’ll find these tools give you the means to take your gaming to an entirely new level.

Xbox 360 repairs for freezing (i.e. red ring of death) Xbox 360s is not a joke. If you think you can just wrap your system in a towel, overheat your system, and your Xbox 360 will be fixed…think again.
Here is what is causing the red ring of death…and why towel Xbox 360 repairs only make it worse…
The whole problem with red ring of death Xbox 360s is heat. As the motherboard heats up (and it can reach temperatures of over 100*C) it vibrates. These vibrations cause a loosing of the soldering which holds the GPU (graphics processing unit). As the soldering comes loose, so to does the GPU. Once the GPU becomes loose enough the system freezes and you get the red ring of death.
As you can see the GPU comes loose as a result of heat. Adding more heat is only going to make the problem worse. Also if you read about Xbox 360 repairs that involve hair dryers or hitting your system, you should be able to tell now that these “Xbox 360 repairs” are just wrong.
You should know…
Microsoft is actually responsible for this problem, and they admitted it in an official announcement in July 2007.
The problem is a design flaw. To make room for the DVD drive, they decided to shrink the LSI heat sink. The heat sink is the cooling unit however, and it doesn’t keep the motherboard cool enough. Sadly, over 500,000 people need Xbox 360 repairs.
The new elite model is supposedly better designed, and the motherboard does not flex as much as the earlier models.
OK, I need an Xbox 360 repair, what do I do? Will the red ring of death just go away on it’s own if I leave it?
Firstly, your system will not fix itself, and by that it means you can’t just leave your system alone and hope the problem will go away. Once you get the red ring of death, you will need repair your system to make the problem go away.
Thankfully, Xbox 360 repairs are fast (less than an hour), permanent (you only need to do it once, if you do it right), and they aren’t complicated. You do not need technical tools or experience for Xbox 360 repairs. There is a step by step video repair guide available at the end of this article that will take you through the whole repair process.
Xbox 360 repairs in a nut shell
Here is an overview of what you need to do to fix your system and stop those annoying red lights.
1. Take off the face plate and cover
2. Remove the motherboard and heat sink
3. Put a spacer (washer) between the heat sink and motherboard
4. Clean off the GPU
5. Put it back together
It isn’t rocket science, and literally anyone can do this.
Putting it all together
Now you know Xbox 360 repairs are not complicated, and anyone from 10 to 80 could do this and if you would like, there is an Xbox 360 video repair guide available at the end of this article.
Xbox 360 red lights are extremely annoying, and the problem will not go away on its own. Crack pot fix methods that use towels, heat, or hitting your Xbox 360 will make the problem worse. Interestingly enough, 94% of red light error Xbox 360s don’t need new parts—they just need a little tweak to get them up and running.
Don’t be held prisoner
The last thing you should do is nothing. If you absolutely will not perform Xbox 360 repairs yourself, you can send it in to Microsoft. It will take 4-6 weeks and cost $140. Not the best option, but still better than doing nothing.
Playing your system knowing it could freeze any second is beyond frustrating. You can’t play multiplayer games without that nagging fear of dropping. Plus you are in constant fear of losing progress.
Now that you are aware of the problem, you can do something about it. Whether you fix it yourself or send it in, do it! Don’t let a freezing Xbox 360 ruin you game time!
Best of luck with your Xbox 360 repairs!

The word wars between Sony and Microsoft just won’t die down. With Microsoft’s Peter Moore’s ragging about the PS3 games console’s price, surely, people don’t expect the Sony CEO, Steve Howard, to turn the other cheek. It’s pathetic to see two guys in power suits and power ties bicker like two kids in a playground. Sounds to me like they’re fighting about who could spit the farthest. But since Moore has been hounding publicity, well, we might as well give shy Howard a chance to defend his PS3 games.
It can be recalled that Peter Moore of Microsoft used Sony console’s price as a spring board in launching a new Xbox 360 marketing campaign. Moore released statements that gamers get more value in buying a Nintendo Wii and Microsoft Xbox 360 for the value of a single PS3 games console. No doubt that the statement made even hard-core Sony fans hesitant about buying a PS3. After all, $600 is big money. Plus, the possibility given by Moore is a no-brainer: it is a choice between two next-gen consoles and more gaming options or one PS3. Sony has to act; and the usually quiet Steve Howard finally broke his silence.
In a recent press conference in Tokyo, Sony Corp’s Steve Howard released a statement justifying the new Sony console’s price. He claimed that the in buying a PS3 games console, the consumers are actually buying potential. Such a vague statement needed further clarification and Howard obliged. According to him, though the PS3 console is admittedly pricier ($599) than Microsoft’s Xbox 360 ($300) or Nintendo’s Wii($250), it provides users Blu-ray technology– touted to be the technology of the future. Further, if the new Sony console’s performance reaches its full potential, users would benefit from higher technology and longer years of use. Howard also implied in his statement that Xbox 360s and the Wii’s are cheaper because they are merely “transitional” consoles with inferior technology when compared to the futuristic PS3.
However, market analysts and yours truly, seriously doubt this claim by Howard. Times are hard, and people are sure to think about whether the PS3 games console deserves its price tag. This can look bad quickly for Sony because reviews show that PS3’s Blu-ray-supported graphics are only equal to that of the cheaper consoles. If there are differences, these are highly indistinct, unless you want to spend game time analyzing the graphic pixels. Even the controller is deemed inferior to that of the PS1 from seven years ago.
In fact, the Wii sports a much better controller. Also, Howard’s potential-based argument is stretched too thin and poorly supported. What if the new PS3 didn’t reach its full potential? Then, there is the case of disappointed consumers whining over their loss. What about the long years of use? I doubt that five years would pass before the gaming giants come up with a new console prototype. Surely, Howard can come up with something stronger than an argument based on “potential”. PS3 games enthusiasts need more fuel for their cause. Meantime, do you know what I’m excited to hear about? Peter Moore’s response to Sony’s “potential”.

I am having problems connecting to my network with my xbox 360. The other 3 computers in my house have no problems connecting to the internet. The cable I am using for the xbox 360 to connect it to the modem works with the computer, but not the xbox 360. It worked with the xbox 360 a few months ago, though. If someone could help me, It would be very much appreciated.
