So I’ve been considering purchasing a Playstation 3. And lately I’ve been exploring the PS3’s game pool. So I have a couple of questions regarding these games. So far I’ve found InFAMOUS, Assassins Creed, NFS Underground, Burnout Paradise, Killzone 2, Bioshock 2, Overlord 2, GTA IV, God of War III, Transformers; Revenge of the Fallen, Bad Company, and Motorstorm 2.
I like games with great graphics even if the plot isn’t amazing.
Does anyone know of some great titles that are perhaps not amazingly well known with good graphics preferably?
And is warhawk worth buying even if i can’t play online since my internet is satellite, just to play with my friends/siblings?
And finally is there really a difference besides price with buying used games? I mean if it works you get the game right?
I love sandbox too.
Any suggestions, any of those I shouldn’t get or more games that I should?

Xbox 360 freezing is a very common problem. In fact, close to 1 million people are dealing with Xbox 360 freezing. In an official Microsoft announcement in July 2007, Microsoft admitted that 5% of all consoles sold are failing and the rest have a chance of failure.
If you would like some help with Xbox 360 freezing, and would like to repair your Xbox 360 once and for all, this article is for you.
The cause of Xbox 360 freezing
Your green lights will turn into 3 red lights that begin flashing when your GPU (graphics processing unit) comes loose. The GPU (which is on the motherboard) comes loose as the motherboard heats up. As the motherboard heats up it begins to vibrate. These vibrations loosen the soldering holding the GPU in place, and every time it comes loose you get your Xbox 360 freezing up.
This article will help you with Xbox 360 overheating and freezing, but before you do anything, know this: the towel fix you may have read about is bogus. It will damage your Xbox 360 and make the problem worse. 94% of red light error Xbox 360s do not need new parts, just a little tweak to fix them.
If you use the “towel” fix, you risk permanent damage and you may no longer be able to repair your Xbox 360 freezing on your own (you will need to send it in for repairs). You have been warned.
How To Fix Xbox 360 Freezing Up
Before we being, I suggest you see a professional Xbox 360 repair guide with videos and picture. A professional Xbox 360 freezing repair guide will show you everything step by step, which can really help you through this process.
Here is how to fix Xbox 360 freezing:
1. Take your case apart. Using a fine tip poker, poke the grayed out holes (they are the latches holding it together) and at the back poke the tiny rectangle holes. Take the faceplate off and move the latch up on the DVD drive up as you remove it. Unscrew the metal case that is just under the plastic case.
2. Take the DVD drive out and unplug the cables.
3. Take the fan off and the motherboard out.
4. Flip the motherboard over, and, using the poker, pry off the X-clamp under the heat sink by popping up the corners. The heat sink is the big silver box with slits in it.
5. Unscrew the heat sink to reveal the CPU and GPU.
6. Clean the GPU and CPU (critical step to stopping Xbox 360 freezing)
7. Apply arctic silver thermal compound (you can find a $1 tube of this at any computer store) generously over the GPU.
8. Let it set for 15 minutes.
9. Put 2 nylon washers on each of the screws from the heat sink. Put the screws back in the motherboard. Now, with the screws pushing up through the motherboard, add 2 more nylon washers to the screws.
10. Put the heat sink on top of the screws, pushing them down a little, then screw them up. Make sure they are tight. This is will really help with Xbox 360 freezing.
11. Put everything back together. Turn it on.
There, you should now have fixed your Xbox 360 freezing.
If you need help with pictures or videos, again, I suggest you check out an Xbox 360 freezing repair guide.
Xbox 360 freezing repair guides are fairly cheap, around $25, and they save you over $100 from sending it into Microsoft. Plus, Xbox 360 freezing repair can take up to 6 weeks if you send it in.
Whatever you do, don’t do nothing. Xbox 360 freezing will not go away on it’s own. Once you get Xbox 360 freezing, you will keep getting the 3 flashing red lights until you fix your system.
Best of luck fixing your Xbox 360 freezing problem!

I have bought the Xbox 360 Arcade, I really don’t know the difference between them all except the Elite has a bigger hard drive and is black lol!
What I am wondering is what is the difference between the different Xbox 360 consoles apart from the price?
My son is the gamer not me and he seems happy with it, we only want it for playing games not really bothered about HD or Xbox live. Can’t you just tell I am thick at all things like this! Don’t answer THAT!

Microsoft’s Xbox 360 is the latest among the power gaming consoles out in the market today. And because the new game console provides a more than normal playing experience, a number of individuals, groups and even companies have started the buzz or talks regarding the possible development of different types of emulators to allow them to play Xbox 360 in various platforms.
Basically, an emulator can either be a software emulator which enables the computer system to work on a totally different software program from the one which was originally installed. On the other hand, the hardware emulator comes in the form of a hardware device and is designed for multi platform operations.
Earlier in March this year, reports came out that Nintendo Entertainment System or NES has released an emulator system dedicated for the Xbox 360. By making their own emulators, NES is able to allow the user to take the ROMs of most NES games and put them in the newer Xbox 360.
The use of console emulators began in the mid-90s. Console emulators were used to then to repackage and reissue their older games on newer versions of their game consoles. An example of which is the repackaging of their games for the Nintendo Wii which will allow for emulation of NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Sega Genesis, and TurboGrafx-16 games.
However, there’s still a huge issue regarding the development of emulator programs and hardware. Since other game platforms are created by companies that are more or less competing in the same business, no single company will give the rights to its competitor to create emulators that will allow their games to run on the competitor’s game console.
Xbox 360 was originally created by Microsoft with the collaboration of companies like IBM, ATI, Samsung and SiS. The Xbox 360 was meant to replace the older Xbox game console which was also a product of Microsoft. Microsoft and its partners aimed to further improve the potential and capabilities of the Xbox by releasing the Xbox 360.
The new game console promised to give the best level of gaming experience unavailable from the older Xbox as well as from other brands and/or game console competition. It was proven to be such a popular game console. Since its release, millions of units have been sold not only across the country but all over the globe.
The Xbox 360 was created in such a way that the game consul is compatible with most of the Xbox’s previously published games, especially the top selling ones. The 360 is backwards compatible so it doesn’t actually need an emulator for older Xbox games.
Some consider emulators, either software or hardware, as illegal since they programs and hardware are used to change the games on a computer and can be modified to allow one to play pirated games. The Xbox 360 has a software emulator which allows them to play only original Xbox games since the creators of the game only licensed the hardware in the original Xbox.
Theoretically, however, one can emulate anything in an Xbox except for PS2 and Gamecube. Several emulators are already available for consoles I’ve never heard of. Other popular consoles already have their own working emulators. Basically, you’ll need an emulator and ROMs to be able to emulate in your Xbox. ROM is basically a game in a format that can be read and used by an emulator.

Isn’t is just super frustrating when you see your XBox 360 red lights come on?
If your XBox 360 is still under warranty, more power to you!
But, if yours is out of warranty, then you might be looking for an inexpensive solution to the problem. Like the article title says, I’m going to discuss one thing that you can do to get your XBox 360 up and running again in just a couple of hours.
But first, a quick look at the major cause of the XBox 360 red lights.
One of the main reasons for XBox 360 failures is overheating. When your XBox 360 overheats, it is not able to process information correctly and thus you get the red lights error.
The number of lights does give a hint as to what the problem could be.
One red light means hardware failure. Two red lights mean overheating. Three red lights mean general hardware failure. And four red lights mean AV cable cannot be detected.
I know, they are not very specific. But I did say that they give a hint as to what could be wrong.
Since a common problem is overheating, if you run across the towel method to fix your XBox 360, please consider passing up on it. I do not think it wise to try and fix an overheating issue with more heat . . .
Anyways, aside from the free methods you can find sprinkled on the web, there are guides you will have to shell out a few bucks for. Of course you have to be careful which one you get. You do not want to spend money on something that will not work. You do want to fix your XBox 360 red lights after all.
When you’re shopping around for a guide, make sure the guide comes with a guarantee as well as showing you a sample of what you will get. I am always suspicious of things that do not give you a glimpse of what you are getting. My rat radar goes on high alert then.

In this first of a two-part article we look at the new Slim PlayStation 3 for Sony. We will discuss the problems that the companies gaming division were facing and whether this new piece of hardware will help to turn around their fortunes.
A few months ago Sony’s console gaming division looked to be in trouble. Sales were flagging, the Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii consoles were still shifting similar or even greater numbers than the PS3, and all this was despite its main competitor, the Xbox 360, being a year older than Sony’s console. To add to this, Sony were loosing money on each console sold whilst games developers were threatening to ditch PS3 development altogether. They gave two reasons to back up these warnings, the first was down to the cost of the console putting gamers off buying and therefore leading to diminishing sales for their games. The second reason was down to the cost of developing games for the more complicated Sony machine. Such costs are traditionally much higher than for the Xbox due to the Sony’s more advanced nature. There’s little that could be done about the complex development process required for the PS3 but a price cut would certainly win back the developers along with some new customers. The problem with this was that it would cost Sony even more money as they would be selling more consoles at a lower price and therefore increasing overall losses. They looked to be in a difficult position.
Fast forward a few months and rumours started to gather momentum about a new, slimmer version of the PlayStation 3. Sony maintained a policy of denying such rumours despite mounting evidence to the contrary. The rumours first started with a leaked picture of a slim ps3, complete with packaging. After a month or so stocks of the original PlayStation started to seemingly dry up and this, coupled with a few retailers letting early adverts out on their websites about a revised console release, all seemed to add increasingly more weight to the rumours.
Now we’ve looked at the problems facing Sony, in the second and final article we’ll look at their proposed solution and discuss whether it will likely solve the issues.
